Dingz und App in different Networks

Hi all

I'm opening this thread even though there is a similar one regarding VLANs from 2021.
My Dingz as well as a couple of other IOT devices are in a separate, firewalled network (i.e. different subnet and different Wifi network name). My devices are in another network and are allowed to connect to the IOT devices, but I'm only granting exceptions to the other direction if really necessary.
When I open the Dingz App on my Mobile, it will not find the Dingz, so much is expected.
Is there a way of either adding an IP manually from the App or is it more recommended to do some mDNS stuff (I'd rather not)?

The issue you're facing is due to mDNS, which is used for device discovery and is blocked by your network's firewall settings. To resolve this, you'll need to enable mDNS traffic between your networks in your firewall settings.

This will allow your mobile device to discover your Dingz and other IoT devices. Most IoT apps, including the Dingz app, rely on mDNS and do not support manual IP configuration, so enabling mDNS is essential for proper functionality.
